Caraway Havarti & Caramelized

Onion Flatbread


Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F.

  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-low heat. Add sliced onion and a pinch of salt. Cook slowly, stirring occasionally, until golden brown. Add minced garlic during the last 2–3 minutes of cooking. Stir well and remove from heat.

  3. Place flatbread on a baking sheet. Spread the garlic-onion mixture evenly on top. Sprinkle with Daneko Caraway Havarti, then top with grated Parmesan.

  4. Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the flatbread is golden on the edges.

  5. Top with fresh thyme or arugula if desired. Slice and serve warm.

Ingredients:

  • ¾ cup shredded DaneKo Caraway Havarti cheese

  • 1 flatbread or naan

  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 large yellow onion, thinly sliced

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • Salt and pepper, to taste
